The Amber Temple
A location somewhere within Barovia. First mentioned in Session 15 by Esmeralda, describing her mentor's research into Kazan.
Kazan visited the Amber Temple after retiring from Strahd von Zarovich's service and discovered there the secret of becoming a lich. Whether the temple is a library, a repository of forbidden magic, a site of dark ritual, or something else is not yet known. What is known: the knowledge it contained was sufficient for Kazan to attempt demi-lichdom, and that attempt destroyed him.

- Real location; Kazan went there physically
- Contains (or contained) the secret of lichdom
- Not yet visited or located on any map the party currently holds (their Barovia map was destroyed in Session 14 when Brother Moro exploded the wagon)
